The Kingsmen, from Kingsbridge can claim to be the southernmost Chorus in the UK and are extremely fortunate to be situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty known as the South Hams. Kingsbridge was founded in the early 10th century as a market town at the head of the Salcombe Estuary and is now a thriving community.

The Kingsmen rehearse each Wednesday evening in the Evangelical Church in Fore Street, Kingsbridge and rehearsals start at 7.30pm. New members and guests are always very welcome. The Kingsmen is the performance name of the Kingsbridge Barbershop Harmony Chorus (KBHC). Like 60 other clubs in the UK, KBHC belongs to the British Association of Barbershop Singers [Registered Charity Number 1080930]. The Kingsmen (currently over 50 voices) have made rare appearances in competitions, believing that continuous improvement can be achieved by preparing for major performance and international tours both in the USA and Europe.

On Saturday 24th May 2008 at the Annual Cheltenham Convention, the Kingsmen achieved a top 10 position out of the 39 competing choruses. This Represented a 4-position move up from their position in 2007 and is a great reflection upon the effort and commitment given to this great hobby.
